Standard Service
The “Standard” Service is an active service since 2013 that allows you to obtain GTIN | EAN | UPC Barcodes from shared prefixes without membership fees or renewal fees. They enable traceability through the GS1 GEPIR platform but without specific company identification. Their global uniqueness makes them suitable for all occasions, except where there is a requirement for a matching between the Code and the Company.
Features
Acquired from previous owners in the United States before August 28, 2002, traceable through the GS1 GEPIR platform but do not allow for a matching with your own Company. Globally unique, they can be used in all occasions except where a matching between the Code and your Company is required. They are exempt from membership fees, fees, subscriptions, and have no expiration or additional costs. They are exclusively reserved for the Buyer and not further distributed or released. The “Standard” Service does not include the right to use the corresponding UCC | GS1 prefix.
Attention
The numbers from the “Standard” Service are certified and guaranteed, and their use requires attention when a registration under the Company’s name is required. The use of GTIN Barcodes in retail stores, shops, small or large distribution, and marketplaces may require the acquisition of numbers registered under your Company. The STANDARD service allows you to obtain GTIN-12 UPC | EAN GS1 with GEPIR GS1 traceability without any match between the Code and your Company.
