What are they?
The GS1 GTIN (Global Trade Item Number) is used to uniquely identify products within a sales system. We find them on almost all products in the form of barcodes. They are generated from unique GS1 numeric prefixes, ensuring their uniqueness without numerical overlap.

How do they work?
